Isoko National Youth Assembly Swears in Caretaker Committee

The caretaker committee of INYA sworn in by the Grand Patron in the person of Hon. Chief Victor Okemena Egbo, in accordance with the Constitution of IDU parent body, held its first executive meeting. Wherein issues that have besmirched the Youth Assembly since and before the expiration of the outgoing executives, were deliberated upon in hopes to reach a resolution for the peaceful transition of administration.

In the meeting the following points were underscored:

1. That this body is the legitimate caretaker committee of INYA, as such, any other paraded by some so-called patrons and generals is declared null and void, and therefore subject to legal sanctions.

2. That Chief Fred Obe is in no right the Grand Patron of INYA. His actions as far as INYA is concerned is in self-abnegation and that the public and entire youths of Isoko should not be involved in any dealings with him. By constitution Hon. Chief Victor Egbo is the pioneer President of INYA and therefore the Grand Patron.

3. That the caretaker committee is working hand in hand with the authorised Grand Patron and his Advisory Council to ensure peace, unity and progress of the Isoko Youth and modalities were also put in place to achieve this aim. It was also stated that a peaceful, free and fair credible elections will be held for a peaceful transition in conjunction with the Advisory Council.

4. Members of the caretaker committee are as follows:

ii. Comr. Blessed Paris Ubara (Isoko South) – Vice-President
iii. Comr. Lawrence Oweh (Isoko North) – Secretary
iv. Comr. Oghenekaro Sunday Otuoraha (Isoko North) – Organising Secretary
v. Comr. Efemena Harry Itegbru (Isoko North) – Financial Secretary
vi. Comr. Emmanuel Ighedi (Isoko North) – Treasurer
vii. Comr. Anthony Izomo JP (Isoko South) – P. R. O.
viii. Comr. Emmanuel Ugokpa (Isoko South) – Speaker
ix. Odiri Evi (Isoko South) – Women Leader
x. Abednego Volvo (Isoko South) – Member.

These are the current executives of INYA. They shall pilot the affairs of INYA pending the new election and swearing in of a new regime.
