2027: January 16 Election Day Not Good For Tinubu — Primate Ayodele

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that insecurity and the proposed date of the 2027 presidential election will work against President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying January 16 would be “a bad day” for the President.
Primate Ayodele made the remarks in a video that circulated widely online on Wednesday, where he spoke on what he described as unfolding political and electoral signs ahead of the next general election.
“Apart from that date, just as I’ve said, 16 January is not good for Tinubu’s victory,” he said.
In the video, the cleric suggested that worsening insecurity across the country could force a shift in the election timetable, while also insisting that the date being discussed for the poll was unfavourable to Tinubu’s political fortunes.
“And insecurity would likely make them change the date of the election,” Ayodele prophesied in the video.
The cleric added that if the President ignored the warning and allowed the date to stand, the consequences could be politically costly.
“But if God wants him to lose, then let him keep that 16th of January, he will see what will happen thereafter.
“Let him have movements all over the world because that day is a bad day for his victory,” he said.
Anticipating criticism over the prediction, the cleric maintained that his comments were based on spiritual insight rather than political sentiment.
“Anybody can criticise it. I’m just saying what I see and what I know,” he added.
LEADERSHIP reports that Primate Ayodele has recently made a series of ‘prophecies’ about Nigeria’s political gladiators and possible outcomes of the 2027 contests, a development that has stirred controversies.
