2023 CAFWCLQ: Delta Queens Meet Up With CAF Requirements
In preparation for their debut in the CAF Women’s champions league qualifier, Nigeria Women’s football league champions Delta Queens have met up with the standard requirements of the body.
Delta Queens qualified to represent the country after they emerged as the winner of the Super Six held in Benin, Edo State.
In a bid to modernise and digitise the administration of all its competition, CAF has been on an aggressive drive of ensuring that all its 54 Member Associations are fully onboarded with the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) ahead of the new season of CAF Inter-Club competitions.
A total of 37 clubs including Delta Queens who will be partaking in the qualifiers of the CAF Women’s Champions League, Cote D’Ivoire 2023 have successfully completed and met all the requirements of the system a significant step that the women’s game is taking on the continent.
According to the CAF Women’s Champions League competition regulations, all clubs must undergo a licensing process at the Member Association level and be granted a license to participate in the aforementioned competition.
The first phase of the competition kicks off in the next month at regional level before the continental phase takes place in Cote D’Ivoire later in the year.
