FRED AGBEDI JOINS LAWMAKERS IN CAIRO FOR STRATEGIC POWER SECTOR TRAINING

Cairo, Egypt – Rt. Hon. (Chief) Fred Agbedi, Ph.D., member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Special Duties, has joined other federal lawmakers in Cairo, Egypt, for a capacity-building programme of the House Committee on Power.
The training, aimed at strengthening legislative oversight and deepening knowledge of the power sector, brought together key members of the committee under the leadership of its Chairman, Rt. Hon. Victor Nwonkolo. Also in attendance were the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Joshua Audu Gana; Minority Whip, Rt. Hon. Ali Isah J.C.; Rt. Hon. Engr. Bala; Hon. Zanna; Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi; Hon. Makanjuola; Hon. Abbas, among others.

Dr. Agbedi, who also serves as leader of the PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives, emphasised the importance of such engagements in enhancing Nigeria’s legislative capacity to address challenges in the power sector, a critical driver of national development.
The Cairo training is part of ongoing efforts by the House of Representatives to equip lawmakers with the technical expertise and global best practices needed to deliver effective reforms in Nigeria’s energy landscape.
