Bayelsa United lost 1-2 to Rivers United in their Group C second game at the 2024 NPFL Youth League played at Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port-Harcourt.

Seiyefa Jackson grabbed the first goal of the match in 42 minute of the game, while a well taken Paul Jr Paul penalty put Rivers United upfront at the 72 minutes.

In the 89th minute, Chairman Randy delivered a late strike, pulling a goal back for his team. However, it proved to be a mere consolation in the overall context of the game.

Bayelsa United will hope to bounce back from the defeat when they engage Bendel Insurance on Saturday.
